Volume 100 of the Columbia Law Review, which begins with this Issue, completes the first century of the Law Review's publication. To celebrate this milestone, the Editors have selected a number of Articles from the Law Review's history and commissioned leading scholars to critically engage the pieces. This Centennial Issue is the product of their efforts. It not only reflects some of the highlights of the Law Review's now hundred-volume history, but also seeks to capture its continuing commitment to advancing legal scholarship.
The strength of the legacy created by past Boards of Editors made this Centennial Issue possible. We hope that, in carrying this legacy forward, the Columbia Law Review will remain a vital forum for academics, practitioners, and students to discuss, debate, and critique the law as it was, as it is, and as it might be.
