Publishable Notes Program

In addition to the regular journal application process in May for rising 2Ls, the Columbia Law Review offers another opportunity to join our staff. Through the Publishable Notes Program, the Notes Committee accepts submissions of student-written Notes in January from 2Ls not currently on the Review, and considers them in an anonymous process alongside Notes written by Review editors.

If a Note selected for publication is authored by a student not currently on the Review, we will offer that student an editorial position on our staff. For each of the past four years, the Review has invited a member of the 2L class to join our staff through the Publishable Notes Program. Students who are accepted via the Publishable Notes Program will be notified in early February.

If you have any questions about the Publishable Notes Program, please feel free to email Luke Anderson, Executive Notes Editor (ene@columbialawreview.org).
